d'Orsay was once a train station which makes sense when you see the big clock at the entrance. In the late 70s it was restored and turned into a museum. A lot of the items in the museum where donated. The other way they received items was when you couldn't pay your taxes. Needless to say they have a lot of new items in the museum.
This is the first museum one we've been to where no cameras are allow. So, away the big Canon went and I enjoyed the experience in real time. I did manage to take a few pictures before we entered so you get an idea of the space.
